Below are testimonies of players & parents

Macy-
I just wanted to say that the info you are sending out has been outstanding and PRICELESS. This process has been a real opener...Keep it coming...Greatly appreciated.

Jessica-
Just thought I would like to take a couple minutes and thank you for all that you do. Your wise words and the amount of effort/time you put into making girls softball dreams come true can never be thanked enough. I know I am just one of the numerous girls that you have helped along the way so it probably does not mean much but you truly have helped me. I had heard of Queen of Diamonds since the beginning of my softball career and had always thought that it would be a fabulous experience. My dream became a reality when I was excepted to participate in the 2014 QDSN. It became even more surreal when I received my back tag number (#281 of which I still have to do this day). I will keep that paper for the rest of my life. The atmosphere at your events are remarkable. Top notch and friendly staff, fabulous hotels and truly meaningful days of my life. The days at your events are days that could change my softball career forever.

Maria-
I  just wanted to thank you for everything you have done for this amazing weekend. I had so much fun playing softball and meeting so many great girls that I will be keeping in touch with. Thank you for all of your hard work and information and knowledge you have shared. I have learned so much so thank you and I will be sure to attend the QDSS next year as well! :)

Player-
Thanks for everything you've done I had a amazing time ! I can't wait to come back again ! Me and my family really appreciate your effort and hard work ... Thanks again

Abbie-
I would like to thank you for creating the Queen of Diamonds event! I had a blast playing in your event and hope that next year I can be accepted back into the event! However thank you for allowing me the chance to play with all those fabulous athletes that were there. Now I have more friends and gained an awesome memory! Also Coach Gaddy was an awesome coach too!
Thank you for everything!!!
Abbie

Abbey
Thank you so much for hosting the QDSS. I had a blast and met some awesome new friends. I learned more about adapting to new players and learning how to play with them. I was number R161 this past weekend, on team #24, as the second basemen.  I look forward to coming back next year! Thanks again!
Sincerely,

Addie-
Thank you so much for inviting me to the Queen of Diamonds South event. It was such a great experience. Thank you for working so hard to make this event possible. You and your staff are such amazing people. Coach McHenry was great! He was a wonderful teacher and had a great personality. He always wanted us to learn on and off the field. He even gave us homework. Even coach Scott from a different team took time with me and let me borrow a bigger bat for a few games. You and your staff put so much time and effort into this event and I would like to say thank you for all you have done for me. I hope I will be able to do this again sometime.
Thanks for all you have done

Shannon-
Mr. Whiteside, I would just like to take the time to thank you for the invitation to your showcase.  I had an awesome time, and enjoyed the facilities and coaching staff allotted to me and my team #5.I felt that this was a great opportunity for a 16 year old, to show off my talents and maybe open an eye or two. I will admit I was nervous as heck attending the event without my head coach, but I was able to be with 2 of my other Canadian teammates...and we all cheered each other on.So thanks again for your hospitality, and well organized event.  Hope to see you again next year!Ashley
She has never played with such a "complete" team, giving her the opportunity to play her position without having to worry about covering for others and then getting the proverbial coach lectures that you aren't trying hard enough. She caught a glimpse of what playing at the next level may be like. Even in the most competitive of events, such as this, she was more relaxed and played better than she has all summer, going 3-3 at the plate and perfection in fielding in her 1st game.
To say, WE learned alot is an understatement. Emily is looking forward to applying for the 2014 QDSS!
Thank you again!

This weekend was absolutely amazing! The girls I met are going to be friends that will last a lifetime. The memories I made this weekend are unforgettable. If I could, I would, with no doubt, do this weekend over again. I loved everything about this weekend and I wouldn't change anything that happened. It was basically perfect all along.

Sam-
The Queen of Diamonds is a CLASS ACT all the way Through. Teaching girls how to communicate with coaches all the way to the competition on the field. That was the smoothest running showcase tournament we have been in ( we been in a few). About a half hour after the event Nicholotte was offerd a verbal from a D 1  school, she is flying high right now. Nicholette told the coach she is going to check out there courses and come down for a visit before she commits. How you teach the girls how to communicate with the coaches  helped Nicholette with her conversation with the coach.

Player-
Just got your “Last Up” email and I wanted to say thanks so much for the efforts you (and your staff of 77) put in with the girls.  The information that you provided throughout the course of the last few months has been valuable both from a softball standpoint … as well as a life standpoint.

Parent-
First, thanks for another awesome QDSN event.  I think it may have been the best we’ve attended so far.  And I love the way you switched the fields around.  I think it was extremely beneficial to the coaches to be able to stay in one general area and watch both the cages and the field games.  And it really gave me (a parent) a feel for how many coaches were actually there.  When they were spread out on both sides of the building, it was much harder to gage how many coaches where actually there.

Player-
I do not know where to even begin.  I owe you so very much that I can never repay from your: life lessons, guidance, inspiration, and motivation.  This was my first Queen of Diamonds Showcase event as a freshman and it will not be my last.  I hope to attend every Queen of Diamonds Showcase that I am accepted into.  I simply had one of the most awesome experiences of my life this past weekend at Kent State University.  I wanted you to know how much I appreciated all of your and your staff's efforts at the best run event that I have ever attended.

Player-
Thank you so much for all of your help and encouragement. The QODSN was an awesome experience and I had a great time. I thought it was nicely run and organized. I enjoyed meeting you, my coach and the other players. Because of your help I feel like I'm going to be more confident in my recruiting process. I will continue to use the information you shared until I find the right school and softball program for me.

Parent-
As we sit on the tractor (hehe) reviewing the past three months just wanted to let you know we very impressed with your direction that you gave both the players and the parents. It was so obvious that you love doing this and it showed in every email that you sent. With all of the details that we received from you it has really helped in the recruiting process. We are contemplating entering the QDSS and are looking at moving our team tournament dates to make it possible.
Thank you again to you and your team for doing a great job it is truly appreciated. I know it is a very big job and takes a great team to do it right.
 Awesome Hotel also……

Parent-
I just wanted to take a minute and let you know how much the Jander clan appreciates all the hard work that you and your family put into the Queen of Diamonds event.  All I can say is WOW – we are impressed. Alex had an absolute blast, met some great new friends (3 of which will be traveling to Europe with her!) and received/receiving some attention from her top picks of colleges.  What more can one ask…..a near perfect weekend.
She will be back next year and we are seriously considering heading South for the event in August.  Let’s face it, she was a little rusty, even with preparation, but in August?  She’ll be a true beast, as all the girls will be coming straight off their summer seasons.

Parent-
Thanks again for all of the support, communication and guidance.  This entire recruiting process is grueling and I’m not sure we could have done this without you!

Parent-
Sorry I did not get to talk to you personally this weekend at the QOD, I got a wicked case of the flu and to say the least...it was a rough weekend for me! Got Kylie where she needed to be and tried to not get anyone else sick! It was a great event and again want to thank you, the rest of the staff and the coaches that volunteer so much of your time and knowledge. I do feel like I have a better grasp of this recruiting process! Kylie has gotten some response to her emails....basically saying I cant talk to you or answer questions to you at this time but please keep me informed of how your doing in your upcoming season and 2 invited her to come to their prospects camp. To me that is a positive...and a big step in the right direction! Safe travels going to the World Cup and thanks again for all the information! Take Care :-)

Player-
I just wanted to send YOU an email,      (what an interesting twist) to tell you that my first queen experience was so much more than I ever expected it to be. I expected to play some intense softball, and hopefully  see some of the coaches that I have been emailing for all these months, and I did both! I did not however expect to leave the queen with the number of new friendships that I made, and the intense feeling of pride that I was lucky enough to be among such a talented and supportive group of young ladies!!  For all the tournaments, camps, clinics, and showcases that I have been involved with, The Queen, by far affected me on a personal level like no other.  I appreciated and enjoyed every moment, and will keep this experience with me forever. Thank you!!!

Parent-
Thank you so much for all that you have done. With all the emails you have sent and helping us with the recruitment it means a whole lot to me that you care so much for people that you don't even know. I feel like I have learned a lot through this experience and I know what I have to do now if I want to play at the next level. I can't thank you enough.

Parent-
I had to send you an email and thank you again for all you do for these young ladies, in the past few days Madison has received 4 emails a day from various colleges who noticed her at the Queen of Diamonds Showcase some colleges we had written to others we had not even considered until now none of this would have been possible without you! We are a little overwhelmed at the moment with the emails but we are doing our research and trying to find what is going to be the best fit for Maddi. We look forward to our next 2 showcases with you we are so excited to see these great opportunities come Madisons way! Thanks again Kirt have a safe trip to the Netherlands.

Player-
I want to take the time to say thank you, the QDSN has been wonderful, I have been recieving call and email from school asking for me to take a look into there program even from some schools that previously told me they were done with my recruiting class.
I also want to shout out to Coach Lane Leedy who has probably done more for me in two days, than most coaches have done for me, in the recruiting process.  I've have told many of my uncommited friend back in Texas about this event and my experience, look out for a flood of Texas player next year.
Once again Thank you so very much

Player-
I was one of the many athletes that attended the Queen of Diamonds Showcase at Kent State this past weekend. I really enjoyed it and thought that it was a great experience. I just wanted to thank you for all of the work that you put into e-mailing everyday, keeping us up to date, and keeping us positive.
I’ve already been e-mailed by a college coach that was also at the showcase and I want to thank you for helping me pursue my softball career, and helping me get one step closer to becoming a college softball player.

Sierra-
Thank you so much for all the time and effort you put into this camp. It was one of the best softball experiences I have ever had. I am looking forward to attending more in the future. Thanks so much again.

Parent-
It's definitely going to be hard to get out of the habit of checking for your emails every morning. Although Queen of Diamonds North is over, it was definitely a great experience and I owe you a huge thank-you. Without you, I never would have gotten my marketing campaign going the way it did and I wouldn't have gained so much knowledge. A lot of people didn't read through your emails the whole way, but they don't know what they missed. I will never forget all of the things you did for all the Queen of Diamonds athletes or the information you shared. QDSN was the perfect start to 2013 and I've already got my mind on QDSS. Thank-you so much again and I wish you and your Americanos safe travels to the Netherlands for the Cup.

Parent-
Thank you so much for giving me the chance to play in the Queen of Diamonds! I had so much fun and met a lot of new friends.  It was a great opportunity for me to be in such a huge event!  It was also an honor to meet you.  I'll always remember you.  You provided me with so much information for my softball career.  And that means ALOT!  I'm fortunate to tell everyone that I got to play at the Queen of Diamonds and I am very grateful that you gave me the opportunity to be a apart of it!

Parent-
Even though most were extremely loooong.... I will miss the e-mails that came daily from you informing all the players about what to do and what will happen next.
I hope as you sit and read this your enjoying a good Starbucks.  Haha!  :)

Sam-
I have to tell you,the QDSN event was the absolutely the best exposure Nicholette has. We have been in College Showcase tournaments last summer along with Nationals in Alabama, and did not even come close to the exposure we got in 1 weekend at the QDSN Event. That was the best investment we made in softball, we left there with 13 interested colleges and ended up with a Div 1 verbal. Everybody who asked me about the event all I tell them,it is a must for girl who wants to play at the next level.

Parent-
I wanted to say thank you for all you have done over the past two years in helping our daughter realize her dream of playing softball after high school.  Funny thing, we traveled thousands of miles, and she is going to end up only 50 miles away to start at a D2 Juco.  I also wanted to thank you for allowing us to be part of your vacation to the Netherlands and France.  It is hard to believe that there is someone as giving and caring as you are.  Again, thank you for letting us be part of this wonderful trip that you helped us on.  I have contacted coach Jeff and let him know that I am interested in being his assistant this coming year at the QDS events if he will have me.  After six years of high school and three of travel being an assistant or head coach, it will be hard to stop coaching.  I love the game, but really love the kids.  They make me feel old and young in the same breath.  That is the beauty of it.  I would also like to be considered to help at the cup next year also.  Now that I have been there, and understand everything, I would love to go back and be involved in promoting softball there.  Again, thank you.  It truly was our pleasure and privilege.

Parent-
Kirt, Megan and I would like to thank you for having us this year. Megan is a freshman pitcher and has received several letters (D3) and brochures from D2 college. It was well worth the time and money spent, we look forward to next year.

Joseph-
Thank you for putting on such a wonderful event,  the Queen of Diamonds.  We had an unbelievable time and the whole process leading up to it was so informative and overwhelming!  Your staff was fantastic at the event and it was great to finally meet you.  I apologize for the lack of response, the QOD coincided with Nikki receiving back her PSAT scores upon which she did very well.  We’ve since received over  100 emails and brochures from Colleges and Universities and since she is our first into school we were caught off guard and I’ve been traveling.
Thanks for the fantastic weekend, it won’t be one we forget.

Parent-
Erin and I are very grateful and appreciative of the opportunity that your Queen of Diamonds camp afforded her to convince Robert Morris that she was good enough to play there.  My experience with showcases has been (thankfully) short, yours having been the third we have gone to, but it was by far the best organized and productive of any of the others.  You are a master marketer (I run two businesses and marvel at your abilities) and certainly appear to be a person who genuinely cares about the girls that pass through your system.  You are obviously successful at this and it is justified.  I would love to meet you in person some day and hope that I see you at some tournament or another.  I wish you and your organization the best of luck and thank you again for the opportunity you helped Erin to realize.

Robert-
I have been sports my whole life and now with my daughter playing for the last 10 years. I must say I wish I had the information you have provided to us in your emails 2 years ago when I started this process with my daughter. She is going into her senior year so she is near the end of her recruiting phase now she is moving on to picking where she wants to play. The information you provide has helped us in the short time we have been fortunate enough to get them. An example is she rewrote her intro letter to colleges for the last showcase based on your input. With her new intro letter she had the most coaches come to watch her ( 6 ) then she had all season. And best of all of the 6 - 4 asked her to come for a one on one visit and the other 2 followed up with emails that they where impressed with her play and wanted to see her again. Thanks again - and please keep the emails coming !!!

Carol-
I hope you and your family all arrived back home safe and sound without much traffic. On behalf of Katie and ourselves, we would like to thank you for the hard work and dedication of you and your entire staff. We have been involved in a lot of tournaments and showcases, but this by far had to be the most well organized and detailed event we have ever attended. Everything was great from start (way back when we first filled out our application) to the final pitch.

Jackie-
Thanks again for a beautiful event-Amanda said this was the best one she has ever gone too. Your entire family is amazing.

Brian-
Hey kirt what a wonderful weekend that you put together. I would like to say thank you for being that guy in doing what you do for so many girls. That says alot about the kinda person you are.Just to let you know this was my daughters first time at any QD event and the knowledge she gained from it is outstanding.

Steve-
Emily and I would like to thank you for all of the great advise and strategy concerning the recruiting and marketing process. All of the information that you have provided over the last few months has been very valuable and we really appreciate you sharing it with everyone.Laura-

Thanks for the opportunity Kirt!...She did not diappoint us! - She was also a 2X Cage MVP and went 21 for 28 for the weekend! She had a BLAST! Tony Sorce did a great job as her coach; she loved every minute and made new friends! Your events are always so well run--thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Nancy-
Getting ready to board the plane home and wanted to thank you again for such an amazing experience ... Which includes everything leading up to QDSN, the actual event and just seeing my girl in her element with a smile all over her face and proving she can adapt to any new circumstance with confidence and poise. I definitely want to get her into the QDSS in South Carolina (would also want to do QDSE

Jenn-
I had so much fun today!! The cage was an awesome experience! Now I'm pumped to play games tomorrow!! Thanks again for switching me teams and also giving me this incredible opportunity!

Courtney-
I wanted to let you know that I have committed to go to The University of Charleston on a softball scholarship. I wanted to thank you and let you know that QDSN and QDSS, along with the Kent State camps really helped me in the college process. In addition, I would like to thank you for teaching me everything you know about how to talk to college coaches. The constant emails throughout the year helped me tremendously. Without you, I would have had no idea what to say to coaches or how to approach them.

Kim-
I want to thank you and your staff on so many levels, but first and upmost importance to us is the quiet confidence and growth we have seen in Ashlee since being accepted as a QDSN player. Ashlee has always had a love for the game, but I don't feel she ever truly believed she was talented. Since the news about playing in the QDS we have watched her go from, true disbelief and honestly fear, to really buckling down and perfecting her game. She now seems to be playing with a lot more confidence, more determination and motivation to work on improving her skills. I think her fear was always failure at not fulfilling her dream to play collegiate ball, and through your communications she realizes that if she doesn't try at all…..it will never happen.

Player-
I just wanted to thanks you for such a wonderful showcase last weekend. I was a little nervous about her being a cage athlete as a catcher. She loved it !!! Of course its hard for the cage parents to see anything but she told me this weekend was everything she hoped for. Thanks again for all your hard work

Player-
Just wanted to say thank you for putting on such a quality event. I can't thank you enough for all the guidance you provided through out the marketing process right up to the event. Playing was the easy part. She wanted to make sure I signed her up for next year's QDSN. From originally not being selected, then via some emails with you, getting put on one of the cage teams to being awarded a Cage MVP - what a great experience!

Parent-
Thank you and your QDSN Team for a terrific weekend for a group of great athletes and find young ladies. Please know that your efforts are greatly appreciated. I wanted to personally thank you for approaching my daughter and welcoming her to QDSN event. She loved the cages!! You were right on the spot when you said it's a hitter's paradise. And the results: Our girl received a D1 letter from a coach Saturday night @ 9:15pm! It was a beautiful reward in many ways. Thank you Kirt! I thought she sent out some great letters presenting herself to schools were awesome but this personal letter from the Ass't Coach was first cabin! They really know how to market themselves very well. And today, more serious letters came via e-mail. Kirt, than you so much on behalf of our whole family

Player-
Just to keep you both up to date - I have verbaled to University of Virginia! Wow - and to think it all started a year ago at the QDSN 2009. Thank you!

Nicole-
It's Nicole Sleith from the QDS North and South, and I just wanted to take a few minutes out of my day to thank you! Recently, I was offered many full scholorships to Division 1 schools and the one that I have accepted, was all thanks to the Queen of Diamonds! It was a long process, but nothing beats this feeling since all of my hard work has paid off. With help from you, and many people like you, I have achieved my childhood dream. You should take pride in what you do for young athletes like me because you genuinely help make our dreams come true. Thank you so much for all that you do, and all that you have done for me.

Carrie-
There are so many people to thank for their contribution to our daughters success, and obviously you are one of those. We learned so much about how to market an athlete from you.

Kaylynn-
I just wanted to tell you THANK YOU for everything this weekend. The queen of diamonds opened my eyes into seeing how good I actually am and what I have to work on. Seeing all the other good girls out there makes me realize that I have to work 10 X as hard as I did before to be anything I can be. I'll have to say that this weekend was by far the BEST softball experience I've participated in.

Lisa-
All I can say is WOW. I hope that other kids take advantage of the advice you are giving them, because it DOES WORK!

Bob-
Our daughter is so excited and so am I as with the help from you and your staff and the excellent job you do with the showcases she will have her college work done early and enjoy the rest of her senior year.We can not say enough about you and your family and staff and all the help they give these girls year after year.

The Bly's-
Thank you for all your insight and guidance to preparing your child to become a student athlete. Your instructions on approaching colleges has been invaluable and has helped us a great deal.

Jocelyn-
I'd like to thank you so so much for all you've done for me and all the other girls who attended any previous QDSN! It really helped me with colleges and what to expect playing there!

Gillian-
With all of the preparation we players have been doing and having the holidays come so quickly, I wanted to take a minute to again thank you for your tireless efforts for us players. Your e-mails are timely and very motivational

Lynne-
Thank you for considering Abby and for all the emails, words of wisdom and your hard driving dedication to make such a prestigious event.

Mark-
This is probably one of the best weekends that Sarah could have had.

Zoe-
I was one of the lucky athletes to go to QDSN this past weekend. I just wanted to email you and let you know how much I truly appreciate all the hard work you put into the showcase. I also wanted to let you know I was a two-time MVP winner for both my games, and I ended up getting First-Team too. Without all of your hard work, I'm sure none of that would have been possible for me. So thank you for everything you put into the showcase. It was a great experience and gave me great exposure!

Steve-
Congratulations on another excellent showcase. There was some really good players there. My daughters team really hit it off well and I'm sure that they will be seeing each other again this summer. The umpires did a very good job, you didn't even know they were there. And I'm sure that you know if you don't know the umps are there they are letting the girls play and doing a wonderful job.

Rose-
I am just writing you to say THANK YOU! My daughter had a great time and saw a lot and learned a lot. I appreciate all the work you and your staff put into the Queen of Diamonds, I thought it went rather smoothly!

Darrin-
I wanted to take this opportunity to Thank You for giving me the chance to coach with Jim Halfhill on team #22, I really enjoyed the weekend and it was a treat to be able to work with such a talented group of girls. I learned some new things from Jim in a short time that will help me next summer. If you should ever need help in the future do not hesitate to contact me I would be glad to help. I also wanted to Thank You and your staff for giving my daughter Kara an opportunity to showcase her talents. I think she gained a lot of knowledge on how to market herself and how to act in front of coaches. We hope to see you next fall in QDSS.

Frank-
Thanks for a great weekend! What a super experience for the girls. All your hard work is really appreciated. We can't wait for next year and the Queen of Diamonds South. Again thanks for all you do for the girls!!

Mike-
Thanks for a terrific showcase. We were impressed! Your crew did a super job.

Devan-
Thank you so much for getting me into the QDSN. I really appreciate how you are walking me through this new experience and actually getting me into the QDSN. This experience was INCREDIBLE! It truly was more than I hoped it would be. I had a blast and learned so much from the camp. You know, not only was I in the spotlight, but I was playing my favorite sport with a girl from Canada. I have never played with someone form Canada before. That was so cool. This wouldn't be possible without God and you. Thank you so much. I'm not sure if you know how much I appreciate you helping me, but I will always know that I can turn to you for help when ever I need it.

Richard-
Nicole participated in the cage event only but with out a doubt this has been one of the best singular experiences she has enjoyed over the past 9 years of playing softball. As a sophomore player the weekend was extremely valuable in helping her understand the environment and expectations of such an event and will most certainly help her prepare effectively for her Junior and Senior years. Nicole was very positive about the whole experience and her performance. The weekend only helped to validate her love of the game and appreciate the tremendous experiences and opportunities that competitive softball affords. Thanks to you and all of your organizers for your efforts to run a truly stellar event

Terrie-
Elizabeth has 3 emails back this morning saying that the schools saw her and want her to come for a visit! It was a great experience and my daughter came away very positive.

Steph-
Thank you for the wonderful week-end. All of your hard work (and your entire staff) is very much appreciated!

Cindy-
What a great job you have done. We really enjoyed the weekend. It is guys like you that make this world a great place. You truly care about each and everyone of the girls that were there.

Carolyn-
I wanted to tell you how impressed we were with the umpire crew you gathered. As a Catcher, Kelly prides herself in meeting and engaging "her" umpires, because she always says how much she learns from the good ones. All of the QDSN umpires were so supportive of the QDSN players -- Kelly remarked how her umpire in her second game today talked to her throughout the game, commenting "nice frame, Catcher" and "good hustle, Kelly" etc. He even told her she had the most perfect swing technique he had seen all weekend. She was thrilled to receive such positive feedback from someone she so respected.

Jaisa-
Thanks so much for this weekend, it was a great experience for me and taught me a lot. I am very excited about the QDS south.

Ed-
Thank you for the opportunity to play at the QDSN by selecting our daughter Katelyn to play this past weekend. It was a great experience for us all. She played up to our expectations and then some and feel that she will be among your players again next year. She got the attention of many of the parents and travel softball coaches we knew there so are pretty sure she got at least looked at by the college coaches.

Mark-
This is probably one of the best weekends that Sarah could have had. She was sleeping by the time we got to the interstate. Today she had 3 cage times and 1 game. She is so excited about the trip to the Netherlands. Thank you for a fantastic weekend.

Dave-
Just wanted to take a minute to tell you and everyone involved in QDSN thank you. What a terrific experience! Kelsey has been to a few showcases before but nothing compared to what comes with Queen of Diamonds. I don't ( nor do I probably want to know) what goes on behind the scenes, but it was absolutely the most organized event we have been to. Everyone there was cordial and helpful even though I'm sure that they were about to drop dead on their feet. Being a sales manager for a large automotive wholesaler, I'm used to people selling hype. But you guys delivered on your promises and we are very appreciative of everything. I sit on the Board of the Pgh Power and we are having a General Meeting Wednesday @ 8PM. After I get thru my regular business, equipment, I plan on telling our roomful of coaches and team reps what a great experience my daughter had and that she can't wait to go back next year as a junior.

Laurel-
This was the most smoothly run event i have ever been to and i think you did a great job organizing everything. Thanks for doing such a great job.

Amy-
Just wanted to take a moment to send you a note of THANKS!! What a wonderful experience for these young athletes and their families. You've got the operation down to a science and things couldn't have run any smoother. Your tireless efforts towards these girls is amazing. As I've said before, they are very lucky to have you in their corner! The time you spend guiding them is a godsend to parents like me who are learning for the first time about the recruiting process.

Joan-
I just wanted to email you to let you know that we really appreciate all that you have done to help these girls get some exposure to college coaches. We were very impressed with how well the showcase was run and the number of college coaches that were there.

Greg-
The event was spectacular for Madi (and me). I’m sure she is following up with a thank you to both you and Glenn. Your hard work showed itself this weekend. Madi actually held her own with a group of exceptional athletes, and is looking forward to the QDSS and is strongly considering the Cup Teams. She will be requesting info from you in the next few days.

David-
Just wanted to say thanks on behalf of myself and my daughters for the QDSN experience. I have to be honest; we were wondering a little whether it was going to be worth the long drive to Ohio from the Eastern Shore of Virginia, especially since both girls seem pretty set on the idea of trying to play for a Virginia college. Nevertheless, they went through the paces of contacting schools and preparing for the event, and we made our first journey to the state of Ohio. My daughters did a great job in their games and in the cage, and a lot of coaches got to see them do it, including some from Virginia. But in my opinion, the neatest thing about it is they got to meet and get to know girls from other parts of the country that were very different from them but shared the same passion for softball.

Rhonda-
I know that no one can thank you enough for all that you and your family did for this wonderful, spectacular, awesome event. I know it was a great success and how proud you should feel. Everything was so organized and ran so smooth. It was amazing for me and Amanda to see all the College coaches that were there.

Dan-
We would like to thank you for putting on a tremendous event. Going back to work/school on Monday was much harder than normal as our minds were still on the past weekends events. It was so nice to meet your family, and see their involvement as well. Once again thanks for everything, and we will be signing up for QDSS.

Bri-
I just wanted to thank you for this weekend. I am going to be totally honest with you, when I first got to Kent State on sat. I was a bit nervous about how the whole showcase was going to be run and if it was going to work out. However, as soon as my team got together and started playing I saw that this was the best showcase I have ever played in! The organization was amazing, the umpires were fantastic, and the amount of exposure was overwhelming! I LOVED QUEEN OF DIAMONDS!!!!

Jeff-
Two things stood out this past weekend to me, first how smooth everything seemed to run! putting on something that big is quite a undertaking and to make it go that well means that you doted your i's and crossed your t's, my hat is off to you! Secondly the quality of the umpires was the best that I have seen period! those guys and gals simply were great, in a previous e-mail you sent us you said you had good umpires and you were right, my hats off to the umpiring crew.

Tony-
}As a parent, I want to Thank you for a wonderful experience this past weekend. Not knowing what to expect, I couldn't have asked for more.

Lynn-
I wanted to thank you for a fabulous weekend at the Queen of Diamonds. Sam had a great time. She is in correspondence with a few coaches and we have our fingers crossed.

Scott-
When I set our schedule for the upcoming summer travel season, our tournaments were selected by the level of competition that we would face and tournaments that attract college coaches. I feel that it safe to say that our girls were viewed by more colleges last weekend than we will be looked at for a majority of the summer.

Sam-
I would like to thank you for giving me the opportunity of being apart of the QDS North and for all the hard work you put in to getting every girl ready. As I recap last weekend, I think about all the opportunities that were opened for me and all the coaches that found interest in me. With out your dedication and constant e-mails, I would of never of gone as far as I did in my pursuit of college teams.

Dale-
I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge 'Thank You' to you and your staff for the outstanding job you all do to select, guide and prepare and then present our daughters in such a wonderful showcase tournament! We have all learned so much in this process.

Parent-
Good Morning Mr. Whiteside,

I'm not sure if you are on Facebook or not, so I thought I'd share this with you.  This is what I wrote Sunday evening after we got home.

I don't think we have ever been to a tournament where it was so efficiently ran. Kudos to you and your staff for an awesome event!

I'm not sure, from a mental standpoint, what my expectations were prior to arriving in South Carolina. There was so much hype about the Queen of Diamonds. I was nervous, scared, anxious and excited all at the same time. The one thing I got (that I took to heart) from all of the emails from Mr. Whiteside was to not be a "helicopter parent" (a parent who hovers around). I didn't want any poor representatation for Abby. I wanted nothing but positive things for her. My cup runs over! This experience is one I will never forget! Abby took the field with 8 girls....none of which she had ever met! That girl played with the heart and dedication that she always does.....but this time it was different. It was magical! It was special! The experience alone was worth everything! We met some wonderful families and some pretty awesome softball players. You would have never known that they had never played together before! Coach Scott was pretty amazing too. Not too often do you see a coach who has nothing negative to say. I didn't hear a negative comment all weekend! If anything, there was an over abundant amount of positives! The southern hospitality was awesome too. Loved the yes/no ma'am/sir! Loved the accents too. In the end, Abby played probably the best weekend I have ever seen her play. We can thank Coach Rick Sherman for that! He spent a lot of Wednesday's working with Abby. That hard work paid off. Thank you for everything! In the end, would I recommended the Queen of Diamonds? Absolutely! I can't wait for the north one at Kent State in January! What a wonderful, amazing weekend! We are so proud of you Abby! You were a bright shining star this weekend and we couldn't be prouder!

Megan-
This was the BEST softball and life experience all wrapped up into one weekend I have ever had. Getting to hear Jenny Finch talk about her softball career, her life growing up, her family life now, and her testimony about her life walk with God really inspired me more than I can say!

Sarah-
I wanted to say thank you for giving me the opportunity to play in your showcases. The north was great but I had a blast in the south. Stepping onto the field and playing a game at Wintrop University was such a thrill. I love the team I'm on. We bonded so fast. I know we will all have a great time traveling overseas together. I wish we could all stay together next summer as well. We all enjoyed Jennie. We all laughed we she told us about the summer coach who would not play her because he didn't think she was any good. We have all been in that situation and it felt good coming from her.I have got a ton of responses this past week from college coaches. I have replied back to all and I'm including my skills DVD. I will be visiting some soon and have even been sent football tickets. Thank you again for opening the door for me.

Dennis-
Hi Kirt, just a note to thank you for putting on such a spectacular event from start to finish for the Queen of Diamonds South Showcase. This is the first time we have attended the event and we were impressed with the event. What a wonderful place for girls to "showcase" themselves. We enjoyed the Friday night event with Jennie, and so enjoyed watching all of the games on Sat and Sunday. Even games our daughter wasn't playing in we would watch as it was fantastic to see such a talented group of young ladies. We know you have put in countless hours and we so want you to know how appreciative we are of such. Hoping that we are able to come again in the future as now we know what it is exactly and we know it is a great event for our daughter to be part of. She had a great time, met lots of people from all over and made lots of memories that will last.

Dayna-
I wanted to take a moment and say a big THANK YOU for dedicating so much of your time to kids and helping them fulfill their dreams. This weekend was such a great experience for my daughter. The opportunity for her to play and compete with girls who are on the same level as her was priceless. I haven't seen her smile and have as much fun as she did in a long time.

Scott-
Just want to thank you and your staff so very much for the tireless effort that you put into this event. I can't believe all of the wonderful information that you have given us. We al truly appreciate it. Thank you so very much!

Casey-
Hellooo there! My name is Casey Moses, and I've attended both the QDSN and QDSS in the past. Recently I was offered a full ride to Seton Hall University and I verbally committed about 2 weeks ago. And I just wanted to take the time to thank you for everything! I know you're probably really busy with all of the emails and stuff for QDSN this weekend and Cup next week (I'M PUMPED!!!!!). But I really appreciate everything you do for us softball players. These showcases are what started my communication with college coaches. I worked hard just like you said, and it really paid off. I've had a dream come true:) It's amazing what you do, and I'm glad caring people like you exhist. Thanks for everything! You're fabulous! I won't actually be in the showcase this weekend... my dad pulled me out... best to give another girl the opportunity. However I will be there and I hope to see you so that I can thank you in person! Thanks again!

Linda-
I would like to take the opportunity to say thank you for helping fuel the fire under our daughter, Caitlin. She's as they say "stoked" for next weekend, as well as, a little nervous. She's already gotten several questionnaires from various college programs that she is interested in. I didn't really understand all that went into this until the emails started coming, then I was like WOW!! this is truly telling the girls "This is your dream, here's the pieces that you need to help make it a reality." I really have appreciated all the work you and the staff behind the Queen of Diamonds have done to put this all together for all of the athletes.

Chelsea-
I just wanted to let you know that today I verbally committed to play softball at Francis Marion University in Florence, South Carolina. Thank you so much for all your help and for providing me witht the tools as well as the stage in which to be seen!!

Kelly-
I wanted to thank you for a wonderful experience. Our girl was floating on cloud nine the entire weekend. She was thrilled to be among so many softball players that take the sports as serious as she does. My husband, daughter & I all commented that there was a different air about this showcase. Everyone we came across with so kind & genuine, the obvious common goal was that we all wanted every girl to succeed in reaching their goal

Toyna-
I'm so thankful that my daughter was chosen to participate in this QDSS.All I heard was positive from her.She said the most rememberable weekend ever and to her you will be known as the Boss when u let her and her cousin go back stage to get Jennies autograph. Of course they didn't follow directions but when they were about to run them out before we got there. She said she told them the Boss said we could. On Sunday we tried to find you after the awards but you were nowhere to be found to her disappointment as she wanted to take her picture with you. But to sum it up you run a top notch orginization that I will tell everyone that they need to send their girls to. And she's already getting emails from college so it works.

Jill-
Just wanted to say thank you for putting on such a great event! Both of my girls really enjoyed the weekend. Kristin was fortunate enough to bring home a Game MVP shirt-making her 1st Queen of Diamonds event even more exciting! My parents were also able to join us and thought it was just an awesome event! They were so glad to be there for all of the excitement. Kudos to you, your family, and the entire staff!!

Morgan-
I would like to thank you for the wonderful opportunity for allowing me to partake in the QDSS. It was a great experience and really helped me get my name out there! I would love to take part in another event like this. Thank you again for your time and your hard work to make this such a great success, not only for me but for everyone else.

Sierra-
I would like to thank you for putting on such a great showcase. It was a great way to show off my talent. I know organizing and running these tournaments take up a lot of your time, and I would just like to thank you for that. This past weekend was an amazing experience for me.

Amy-
I just wanted to say thank you so much for a great QDSS this weekend. I had a lot of fun and my coach, Tim Bray, was great. I attended the clinics held by Winthrop on Friday and found several things to work on both for pitching and hitting, so that was really worthwhile also. I also wanted to say thank you for bringing in Jennie Finch. I have looked up to her both as a softball player and a person for a really long time, so getting to meet her was an amazing experience. Thank you again!

Ron-
The Showcase was the best!! Taylor cannot stop talking about it. Six of her profiles are gone (assume colleges took them) and I am pleased with that being that she is going to be a freshman. I was invited to help Tim and Steve Coaches for team #22 and that was an experience to work with all the talented players. We already signed up for next year QDSS and this January for the QDSN. Another teammate Hayley Hogue (lefty Catcher) is also signed up for QDSN. The assembly with Jennie Finch was awesome; we felt better about ourselves after hearing the word of God and how it impact athletes lives. How will we know if we have been accepted to both Showcases?? We feel privileged to be a part of them and want to continue. Thanks

Bill-
I wanted to take a minute and tell you what a great time me and my daughter had this past weekend. 1st, Winthrop is absolutely beautiful...........worth the trip alone. 2nd, had a great time playing some great competition. As everyone, she wishes she would have hit a little better, but that’s what the Experience is about; she got better as the games went. Being only a sophomore this year, she looks forward to hopefully getting accepted again Next year and getting more exposure with the college coaches (actually being able to be contacted). She wants to come back, and that’s what counts.

Morgan-
Just wanted to say thanks for allowing me to play in the QDSS this past weekend. It was a wonderful experience and I really enjoyed it. Sorry we went through the last minute sign up but I'm very thankful for getting the opportunity to play in the show case. Hope you had a safe trip home.

Peggy-
Thanks for an unforgettable experience for my daughter and our family. She enjoyed playing with new players and making new friends. We had a great time!

Bethany-
I would like to thank you as well. I had a great time, found some new friends and hopefully impressed the coaches I invited. Travel Safe and Thanks!

Brooke-

Chris-
Thank you!!!! Riley and our family had a wonderful time. Coach Wydra was awesome and very good to Riley. I can't wait for QDSN. We will start working out towards the end of Oct so that she will be ready.

Maryrose-
Thanks again for this weekend it was great. You were right...that was Definitely the best team I have ever been on all the girls were awesome I Wish we could be a travel team together. You do an amazing job planning an Event of the caliber and it goes so smoothly. I met some great people and Got to enjoy the great game of softball with some amazing people. Thanks Again!

Tiffany-
This past weekend was my fourth QDS event and by far my favorite. Meeting Jennie Finch might be the highlight of my year, just seeing her makes you feel like a better athlete or at least makes you want to be one. Also I just wanted to thank you for the team I was on. I mean of course you do not go through personality tests when you put teams together but my team gelled instantly from the moment we met at Cup practice. With the talent and the Camaraderie that our team has, I know we will go a long way! Thanks again for another amazing weekend of the best softball you can find, See you in Kent!

Eric-
I Just wanted to thank you for all you do and for what a great event you ran. We had a great time and were very excited. Everyone top to bottom in your crew were fantastic and will always be something myself, daughter and family remember. Also special thanks for all your help with the athlete we brought. Yon are a special person and we need more of you in the world.

Mike-
I can't put in to words how much we enjoyed this weekend. EVERYONE from the Winthrop girls & Coach Cooke, QDT Staff, Umpires, Coaches, and even the photography staff were simply awesome. I've never been anywhere for any tournament where I've had this great a time! In talking with the other parents on team 15, none of us could understand why the format you run isn't catching on with some of these other organization. Loved the 1/1 count, pitching rotation, base runner situations, etc...

Kristie-
I just want to say "Thank You" for all of the emails with stories, information and advice. This has been a tremendous help to us. As a parent of a pitcher this really hits home.

From a Player-
Thank You for everything!! I really appreciate the time you have taken out of your busy schedule to organize and make this past weekend happen. This was an remarkable event! It is amazing to me that you care enough about softball on this level to provide thousands of girls the opportunity to be seen by hundreds of college coaches. This event gives me a chance of continuing my education and play softball which for me, has been a dream since I was a little girl. I had a great time, had the best coach ever (Mrs. Judy), and really met some amazing athletes while I was there.

From a Parent-
I just want to simply express to you how much my daughter enjoyed her experience at QDSS. This was the first time attending and when she came home she couldn’t tell us enough about it. Since her uncle was the one to go with her you should also know how impressed he was with everything. You and your team did an excellent job (I’m sure you already know that). As a senior her only regret is that she didn’t know about this event earlier. Thanks so much for ALL that you did.

Former Division 1 Pitcher and now Pitching Instructor-

I am a pitching coach, and I just wanted to let you know how impressed I was with every detail involved in your showcasing of these wonderful young athletes. I cannot say enough nice things, particularly in the following areas:

-Your receptiveness and ability to communicate effectively and thoroughly with all potential college athletes

-Your organization and execution of events during the showcasing

-Your ability to attract a plethora of college coaches from all over the country

I have been coaching pitching since I was about sixteen and I played Division One myself. I don't think I have ever heard such great things about a showcase. I will let my younger girls know about your upcoming events. Keep me posted, and keep me in mind if you need someone to work with the pitchers.

From a Parent-
I wanted to thank you both for your dedication, enthusiasm, and effort for these girls. Our girl had a blast at QDSS and, as a result of the weekend games, she is now convinced that she has what it takes to play (somewhere) in college. She is excited about applying again next year for the QDSS and, hopefully, getting to participate again. Thank you so much for giving her the opportunity. What a great service you provide!! Anyway, you guys put on a great show and we all enjoyed the weekend. In a world dominated by boys and men's sports, it's so awesome to see people dedicate themselves to women's athletics! What a great opportunity for these ladies Your preparation gets them to come to this event and they immediately bond as a team under your preparation and your leadership. This is not easy to do.....awesome job! Thanks again to you two and to your extensive staff!!

From a Parent-
Once agin you have pulled of a tremendous event. My daughter could have played a little better but that part is out of your control...i think...lol. What a beautiful and large facility Winthrop has...great choice! Anyway, Thanks again for such a wonderful opportunity for my daughter. She is finally going to start visiting some of the schools that have shown interest over the past several months.

From a Player-
I just wanted to thank you for such a great showcase last weekend! It was an outstanding experience and hopefully I got the exposure to some Southern college coaches while having fun. I knew it would be good, but it highly exceeded my expectations. Also, thanks for letting me know and congratulating me on being unanimously chosen QDSS tournament MVP, I am honored.

From a Parent-
I just want to say thank you for all you have done. What an impressive organization you run. We never had to ask any questions due to the fact that all those emails kept us informed about everything. We had a wonderful time and my daughter met some really great girls and athletes. This was her first year participating and she was really nervous which resulted in her not performing to the best of her ability. Although she was upset with her performance she has already signed up for the QDSN and is looking forward to coming back next year now that she knows what to expect. Thank you again.

From a Parent-
Wow! Talk about memories that will last forever. Thanks for everything you did for these girls, the QDSS and the tournament.

From an Athlete-
I just want to send you a note of thanks for the wonderful opportunity this past weekend. It was a lot of fun playing 3rd base for Coach Eshbaugh.. The coaches and teammates were very positive and always full of encouragement. The tournament and experience were everything i heard it would be, and more. I am looking forward to the possibility of playing in the 2010 QDSN at Kent State University.Again thank you for all your hard work and effort in coordinating such a huge event.

From an Athlete-
I wanted to send a note and thank you for allowing me to be a part of the Queen of Diamonds Showcase South weekend. You could not have placed me with a better coach than Coach Sherman! He was great! I had a great time getting to know other players from different states! I loved the competition and loved being a courtesy runner! I never dreamed I could steal so many bases in 3 games. The whole weekend was awesome and an experience I will never forget! I appreciate what you and your staff does to bring it! I hope to see you again soon!!!!

From a Parent-
Just wanted to pass along our thanks for a great event. The facilities were outstanding and it would be hard to beat the weather. The level of talent that was present speaks for itself. We saw every major organization from the region represented by some outstanding softball players.

From an Athlete-
I just wanted to THANK YOU very much for a wonderful weekend. We had a GREAT time with team #18. I didn’t see behind the lines but from what I saw you and your staff did an amazing job and your tournament was run without a hitch. I knew that you were good but how did you get such beautiful weather - it was awesome!!!!!

From a Parent-
I wanted to thank you for the great opportunity for my daughter to participate in the QDSS. She had a great time, really liked her coach and team. She stated that she wished that this team was her travel team for the summer because they were a great bunch of talented girls. This was an experience that I don't think she will ever forget.

From an Athlete-
I just wanted to thank you for all of the emails and the opportunity for being in the Queen of Diamonds South. Your emails helped me know what to do so I can be more ready for college, which is coming up soon, since I am a senior. But thank you so much, I had a blast, and met a lot of cool people! Thank you so much!!

From a Parent-
It was a very enjoyable weekend for us. This was the one and only time my daughter participated in the tournament and I am sorry we didn't do it the previous years. You and your staff did a great job.

From a Player-
I just wanted to thank you for a great weekend in Rock Hill! It was a great experience and I had a great time! There so many great college coaches there and it was definitely the best showcase I have been too! My coach and my team was great as well. You and your staff did a great job!

From a Player-
I would like to officially thank you for inviting me to play in the QDSS. I appreciate it greatly to have been able to experience for the first time what the Queen of Diamonds Showcase was like. I had a lot of fun and had a great coach. Thanks again for giving me the opportunity to play with so many talented athletes.

From a Parent-
It was an awesome weekend. I think the parents had as much fun as the girls. What a nice place to have the event, I was really impressed with Rock Hill.

Kelli-
You have given us parents as well as our girls (so glad you copy the parents on each email you send) so many emails full of wisdom, softball related and LIFE related and I have truly been blessed. Please know WE are so very grateful for this experience, having our daughter participate in the QDSS; both the preparation before the weekend as well as what is to come next weekend.

The Holland’s-
I just wanted to say thanks for a great weekend, my daughter has not stopped talking about the young ladies she met there and how nice all the coaches were to her. Also, how she made MVP on Friday night. We will be signing up again next year for the QDSS.

Karen-
GREAT EVENT! A BIG THANK YOU TO YOU, YOUR STAFF AND COACHES AND WINTHROP UNIVERSITY FOR A GREAT WEEK END OF SOFTBALL.

Gillian-
What a great weekend and once again thank you from the bottom of my heart. One of the Colleges I have been corresponding with showed up to watch me play all of my games this weekend. We then ended up meeting her for dinner and spent two hours talking about softball, the weekend, her experience, school, general topics and just getting to know one another on a personal level. What a great experience!!!

Robin-
Thank you so much for a wonderful weekend! It was so much more than we expected and a great learning experience. It was a great overall experience and worth every penny we spent and more.

Susie-
"BIG THANK YOU" for the wonderful weekend. Thank you for the opportunity to participate. And if there is one sure way to know that our daughter had a great time: the first words out of her mouth when we got into the car were "I want to do this again!" So we are getting our application ready for next year.

Stephanie-
Just wanted to say a big THANK YOU for such an outstanding weekend! My daughter, and I enjoyed every moment. We were both so impressed with the entire program; the amount of college coaches there, the promptness of each game, the integrity of the umpires, the wonderful coaching staff we lucked out having. Truly, it is an amazing experience and we’re already looking forward to next year.

Tammy-
I just wanted you to know we had a great time at the QDSS and had a lot of coaches watching our daughter. Diamond Fever had a picnic yesterday and the 7 girls that went to Rock Hill and their parents were all happy with the experience.

Kim-
Thank you from the for a memorable 2 days. You and your staff put on an excellent exposure for these young athletes. Even though Kelly has already gone off to her first year of Junior College we made some excellent contacts for her to continue playing at the next level.

Lisa-
Last weekend was a wonderful experience and the only regret we have is that we did not do this sooner. I also appreciate all the help you gave us in getting her letters together and how well informed we were prior to coming down there. I would highly recommend this to anyone's daughter that is looking to further her career in softball. There was some great talent and we made some lasting friends.

Bob-
We just want to THANK YOU and your staff for the wonderful time and experience that our daughter had this week-end...we did too!!! The guidance and the information is at times over whelming, but very much worth it.

Jennifer-
I wanted to take a moment and sincerely thank you and your staff for all your efforts this past weekend. You don't know how great it was to listen to my daughter be so thrilled to be a part of such a great team.

Dan-
I just wanted to take a second and again personally thank you for what you do and for giving my daughter this tremendously important opportunity. You and your staff (family) are top notch people as far as we are concerned and its nice to know that there are still people out there that truly care about these kids and not just for personal agendas.

Karen-
I just wanted to take the chance to thank you for a great weekend. The organization and time commitment that goes in to planning such an event must be enormous. This event was a great forum for those girls interested in continuing their softball career at the next level. Thank you for all you do to promote the game of softball.

Leslie-
On behalf of our family, I can’t thank you enough for all you did.

Martin-
My daughter has been playing travel ball for more than 9 years (she's 17 now). We have played in World Series, showcases, and uncountable trophy tournaments with just about all of the organizations East of the Mississippi, and I must honestly say that the QDSS was the most well organized and run tournament we have had the pleasure to attend.

Alisha-
I just wanted to thank you for everything that you have helped me the past 2 years since I firs started playing in the QDSN. You have given me so many experiences and helped me talk to so many college coaches. Now I have more of a chance of going to college and maybe even for free.

Lori-
I just had to write to tell you that this weekend was nothing less than spectacular! It was the most organized, well thought out event that my husband and I have seen.

Whitney-
I just wanted to thank you for everything this weekend! You must have put alot of hard work into this showcase. From the numbers for everyone, Winthrop Showcase, opening night, and all of the wonderful tips you gave us for the college coaches. QDSS is a very good program and I only wish I had found out about it before my senior year because I would love to attend this showcase again.

Brittany-
I just wanted to thank you for giving me the opportunity to participate in the QDSS. It was a great weekend and I had a great time. I thought I played very well and I have received a few e-mails already from some schools. This wouldn't have been possible if it weren't for this event.

Tessa-
This weekend was everything I hoped for and more. I'm sad that it has come and gone. However, I am looking very forward to next year!

Susan-
The weekend was great. Ashley had her top choice in college as her for an official visit with a few others asking. The people were great. umpires, coach's your family ... everyone.. it was a great time and thank you so much for letting us be a part of it.

The Lowe's-
First let me thank you very much from a parent who has been at a lot of tournaments and clinics. This was the most organized one of all. Thank you for your emails and your process because it really helped us. Ashley is looking forward to QDSN with her application already there. I did email Leah too. She was amazing a speaker. So........Just Thank You

The Merkel's-
Back to the grind this morning, but I did want to drop you a short note to let you know what a terrific job you and your family did this past weekend! Jacki played well and had a great time. She met a lot of nice girls, great athletes and made some new friends. A softball weekend with no drama - just girls intent on playing the game - what a pleasure to watch them play! Thanks again.

The Pohlman's-
Five of my players were present in the South. I have sent an e-mail to all my players and have told them to apply for both the North and South Queen of Diamonds. It was well worth it. I felt that the girls got more exposure than they do at a Showcase tournament.

Valerie-
From our family, thank you for a great weekend! Janney (the girl in all pink) on Team 17 (Coach Judy) left the QDSS with a new sense of confidence. Her coaches and the girls made her feel so welcome and a part of the team. Even though she was the baby (2011) the girls treated her with the upmost respect and encouragement. She played really well with them and made some great plays of her own. She really enjoyed getting to know the girls, especially, Katie Willis! I had already applied for the QDSN last year, but went ahead and filled out another. Janney wanted to make sure she seen these girls again, especially the ones from Ohio! Also, you were right about telling me to go ahead and make her a profile to put on the table even though she is an 2011 graduate. I printed out 20 of them and when I went back at the end of the day on Sunday, only 3 were left! Thanks again for your guidance through all this! Hope to see you in Ohio!

Mike-
We are the Archers and our daughter Chelsea played shortstop on team 4 for Coach Lowry. We were introduced to the QDSS by Jerry Birkhimer whose daughter Alyssa plays H.S. softball w/ Chelsea. We just wanted to thank you for everything you have done to prepare our daughter for the QDSS from beginning to end. It was truly the best money we have spent. The amount of knowledge that you share is by far worth more than money can buy. We didn't expect such intense support but have appreciated every bit of it! We knew after Saturday @ the QDSS that we had done the best thing for Chelsea's future and the support of every staff member that we met was incredible. It was also very fun and that was the icing on the cake!! We hope to see you again @ the QDSN.

Allie-
Thank you for setting up and promoting the Queen of Diamonds. I appreciate all of the marketing/recruiting tips. It has helped me a lot. My emails have resulted in numerous college responses. The experience was great playing out there in front of the many college coaches that attended. The Meyer's-
We want to say a big THANK YOU for giving Amanda the opportunity to participate in the QDSS event. Similar to the QDSN, it was a great event. You and your family work so hard to make it a success for the girls. I am constantly amazed at the time and energy put in each year. I also want to thank Leah for speaking to the girls on Friday evening - she was a wonderful motivator and really gave the girls a lot to think about as they embark on such an important part of their lives. Thanks again and we will talk to you soon,

Carly-
This weekend was absolutely amazing ! I liked this year better than last year . My team jelled so well together ! It was like we had been playing together forever. Thank you so much for putting it together !

Casey-
Just wanted to say thanks. Last weekend was soooo much fun! I was on team five with Coach Glen who was probably my favorite coach at one of your showcases (even though I liked them all)! Thanks again!

Jan-
As always, Cassie and I thank you for the great weekend at the Queen of Diamonds South Showcase. It was her second year there, and we were impressed with the number of college coaches there compared to last year. Last year there were a lot, this year there were more! Once again, the Winthrop University, their team, the umpires, and your staff and coaches made the weekend so special for these girls. You really give them a chance to show off their skills! It's always great to play with and against such terrific players. These girls have formed some friendships that will last them through their softball careers. On a special note, we enjoyed being entertained by your dad. What a character! Now I know why you are the person you are! Can't wait to see you at Kent State in January!

Rebecca-
I wanted to e-mail you and thank you for all that you did to get ready and set up this past weekend. It was one of the best things I have ever been able to experience. I really appreciate it and I really did learn a lot form it. I hope to do it again!! After that weekend I'm am now even more determined than I already was to working at playing at the collegiate level!! THANK YOU AGAIN!!!!!!!!

The Hilton's
Although I could not be at the QDSS, Mal and Sam had a great time. I also heard about Mal crashing your 2 wheel "something" don't know what it's called. Again thank you for all the things you do for thousands of kids that love softball. I wanted to let you know that there were a couple of coaches there that have seen Mallory play in the past and one of those coaches has asked Mallory to visit in October.

The Burwell's-
Thank you for the opportunity you gave to Jamie allowing her to play in this outstanding showcase event. We have learned great ideas to help her succeed and spoke with several different colleges to get a better feel as to where she might want to go. What a blessing to have Leah start it all off and what a pleasure to get to know her. We really enjoyed hearing her testimony and how she is sharing her story with the country. She is a wonderful person and what an inspiration !!!!!!! What a tremdous thing you have going with the Queen of the Diamonds !!!!!! We thank you for letting us share in this once in a lifetime event !!!!!

Marcia-
Just wanted to thank you again for the weekend. You did a great job from the fields to the umpires. Wish we had them all year round. Your whole family is so nice and it's great you get to do this together. Good thing Kayla likes me or she'd probably ask you to adopt her! She already wants me to put her application in for next Sept.

Megan-

Marge-
I want to thank you for a putting on a great tournament and giving my daughter, Laura, the opportunity to participate. I was impressed by the number of college coaches who attended and by the professionalism shown by all those involved in making the tournament such a success. The girls were definitely given every opportunity to showcase their talents. My daughter enjoyed not only the competition but also meeting girls from other states and being part of a team with so much talent. This is definitely an experience we want to be part of again.

Michelle-

Diana-
On behalf of Amy and myself we want to tell you how much we enjoyed the showcase. It was amazing to meet everyone, get to know the parents of the cup 2009 players, watch talented athletes and see all the scouts, etc. Leah was great too and sooo sweet.

Larry-
Kirt, I wanted to send you a note and thank you for all that you and your family did for this past weekend. You could not have ask for anything to have been ran more perfectly or professionally. This past weekend was a great experience for all of the girls not just my daughter. The umpires were great, the way the games were ran, the number of college coaches that were there.

Becca-
I just wanted to let you know how grateful I am for all that you and your staff have done. I had a lot of fun and it really helped to build up my confidence in myself as a player. Being selected for this event really gave me a better outlook on my level of play on the softball field.

Diana-
I just wanted to take the opportunity to thank you for all the time you and your family put into the Queen of Diamonds. It was the most thrilling softball event I have ever attended. I know you took a lot of time out of your life to work on this and I just wanted to let you know how appreciative my family and I are for your efforts.

Vicki-
A quick note to say what a great job you and your family did for putting together a great showcase weekend (from the facility to the coaching staff to the accommodations, etc, etc). Also want to thank you again for your assistance and support to Alycia. She had a great weekend at both camps and certainly worked that pitching arm and hand.

Morgan-
I just wanted to say thank you for having me in Queen of Diamonds. I really enjoyed playing in it and meeting a lot of new people.

Marcia-
I just wanted to send a personal note of gratitude your way. Of course the showcase is an awesome opportunity for Kirstie that we can't thank you enough for, but I also wanted to be sure you knew how special Friday night was to us and how much your personal touch meant to us throughout the weekend. Leah was so motivational, both spiritually and athletically. What a fantastic person!!! As I've told you before, I wholeheartedly agree with you that at this level softball can be a springboard for much more important things in life, and Leah lives that well and was very natural at sharing that with the girls. Her speech was absolutely PERFECT for Kirstie on many levels. What an incredible person!!!

Dan-
I just wanted you to know how much we appreciate what we learned from the process of recruitment that you introduced us to. It all paid off in her senior year. Ali received 7 calls from interested schools in the first week of July, only days after she became a senior. In total, she had 9 offers for official visits. She has gone on 2 visits and received an offer from her number one choice.

Susan-
I wanted to let you know that at the Queen of Diamonds South After emailing all the coach’s she had a great response from schools. We wanted to thank you. If it wasn’t for you giving Ashley this opportunity. This would not have happened. She had a lot of schools interested after that And we tried to narrow them down and are just tickled that her dream has come True.

Jen-
Mr. Whiteside: I recently accepted an offer from a university. The coach saw me play at the Queen of Diamonds Showcase! I just wanted to say thank you for the great opportunity!
