Europe Cup Trip - itinerary

The following is an example of the short itinerary we sent to Cup 2016 travelers. This is what you would experience if you would choose to travel with a Cup team.

We always leave on a Wednesday and come back home on the following Wednesday, and it's always over Martin Luther King Jr. day. By doing this, you will only have to miss five days of school instead of six. 

Wednesday

  1. Leave for Amsterdam! Double check your itinerary for flight times.
  2. Be sure to be at the airport 3 hours in advance.
  3. Bring meal on the plane for dinner and something for breakfast as well. “Bars” to snack on during the flight, and also for Thursday morning/afternoon.

 

Thursday

  1. Arrive in Amsterdam in the morning/afternoon – see our staff in the airport waiting anxiously for your arrival.
  2. Take motor coach to hotel.
  3. Tour Rotterdam and have lunch.
  4. Receive your room key and tram pass at 3:00 pm
  5. MANDATORY: 3:00 pm – 4:15 pm group meeting at the hotel.
  6. After the meeting, on your own in Rotterdam for the rest of the night!

 

Friday

  1. Motor coaches leave from hotel promptly at 7:15 am (this time may change) for Amsterdam (with or without you!) - Optional trip.
  2. On your own in Amsterdam – again most pair up with others to see the sites.
  3. Motor coaches leave promptly from Amsterdam, departure time TBA for hotel (with or without you!)
  4. Buffet at hotel at 4:30 – 7:00 pm .
  5. Games begin tonight at 7:00 pm – check schedule or coach for times. Opening ceremony at 8:00pm.

 

Saturday

  1. Halls open at 8:30 am
  2. Games begin at 9:00 am – check schedule for times
  3. Games end at 6:00 pm
  4. Go back to hotel, on your own in Rotterdam for the rest of the night!

 

Sunday

  1. Halls open at 8:30 am
  2. Games start at 9:00 am – check schedule/coach for when each team plays
  3. Must check out of hotel in the morning, take bags to lobby of hotel to store in a room during the day.
  4. We need a few fathers to help load the luggage onto the motor coaches around 1:00 pm. Please let us know if you would like to help.
  5. Tournament ends at 2:30 pm – awards ceremony following
  6. Load motor coaches and trek to Paris following the awards ceremony
  7. Arrive in Paris around 9:30 pm

 

Monday

  1. 8:00 am – 9:00 am our staff will be in the breakfast room to help answer questions about the day.
  2. On your own in Paris today – again most people pair up in groups to site see
  3. Meet for pictures with teams and group at 7:00 pm at the “Trocadaro metro stop” (line 9 toward Pont de Sevres), we will give directions at breakfast.
  4. On your own after pictures, you might wait to eat dinner until afterward.

 

Tuesday

  1. 8:00 am - 9:00 am our staff will be in the breakfast room to help answer questions about the day.
  2. On your own in Paris today – again most people pair up in groups to site see

 

Wednesday

  1. Motor coaches leaving for the airport will have different pick-ups, depending on the flight times (we will instruct you once we are in Paris)
  2. We will have the flight numbers with pick-up times posted in the hotel lobby.
  3. You are responsible for getting on the correct motor coach to the airport; bring a copy of your flight itinerary so you’ll know your correct flight times!
